Dorothy
Randall Gray is a motivational speaker, certified life coach,
and best-selling author of Soul Between The Lines: Freeing
Your Creative Spirit Through Writing (Avon/HarperCollins.)
A former NYU faculty member, and Audre Lorde Poet-In-Residence
at Hunter College she is author of six books of poetry,
fiction, and non-fiction. Dorothy conducts highly acclaimed
creative and personal development seminars throughout the
US and abroad, and is a board member of the International
Women’s Writing Guild. As founder and executive director
of the Heartland Institute for Transformation she has dedicated
herself to the organization's goals of personal empowerment,
global healing, transformational creativity, and spiritual
activism.
Dorothy has shared the dais with the Dalai Lama in New Delhi,
addressed the Elders of Ancient Traditions in Mumbai, and
was a special guest at UNESCO’s International Ministerial
Conference on Dialogue Among Civilizations in India. She
has been a commentator for National Public Radio, literary
consultant to the United Nations Committee on Women, and
delegate to the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing.
She currently lives in Los Angeles but her heart will always belong to Brooklyn.
